Product Preview: 2008 Donruss Classics Football

With the 2008 Football Card season well under way, Donruss Classics, one of the more anticipated early releases, will hit the shelves at the beginning of July.  This insert-packed product will feature many of the subsets that we’ve come to know, such as Timeless Tributes, School Colors, Saturday Stars and Monday Night Heroes.

The specs for Classics are as follows:

  • Release Date: July 2, 2008
  • Makeup: 5 cards per pack, 18 packs per box, 16 boxes per case
  • Pack SRP: $6.00
  • Each box will contain three autograph or memorabilia cards with at least one autograph, one rookie, one legend, and other inserts.

landrycuts.jpgClassics will also feature a Cut Signatures set, featuring autographs of such greats as Tom Landry, Sammy Baugh, Bob Waterfield, Jim Thrope, Norm Van Brockline, Doak Walker, Otto Graham and Walter Payton.

There will also be an Old School Colors insert set featuring current and former NFL players in their college uniforms, with parallels incorporating game-used/worn jersey swatches.

    Blitz, there are some serious issues with the site. I have heard a little bit in the way of updates, but nothing earth-shattering. Hopefully we get this cleared up soon!!

    At least this part is working again, last time I tried it wasn’t. Really miss the site also & if money is needed for what ever I’d donate. Hopefully some of the powers that be will post an update soon here so we’re not totall in the dark.

    If it’s not back up by the end of the month when our Cup Cases arrive I’ll post the name of a site you all can go to to see everyone’s breaks.

    I feel sad that i don’t have anyone to talk to or share my biggest pick up. Or the 3 boxes of cards and 1 pack of Ultimate i got for house sitting. walking into a card store was deadly.
