Some of the sure to be popular insert sets will be the AutoThread set, featuring signed material swatches, Triple Memorabilia, Quad Memorabilia, Decades featuring swatches of multiple athletes from the same decade, a Patch insert set, and a Passing the Torch memorabilia set.
Series B will include more cut-signature insert sets which will include: 1933-The Year, Sportkings at the Movies, Presidents/Players and, just like Series A, Vintage PaperCuts and PaperCuts. In addition to those, Series B will include the Founding Fathers insert set featuring the men who are considered the founding fathers of their respective sports: James Naismith – Basketall, Walter Camp – Football, Eugen Sandow – Body Building, Alexander Cartwright – Baseball. Each of these cards will be #1/1, and are sure to be the most sought after cards from the set.
The Made to Order Program will also be returning to Series B. These randomly inserted cards will give collectors a chance to select the player or players of their choice and have a special one of one card made exclusively for them. These will include single, double and triple player Made To Order cards.
Sportkings Series A was a big hit, due much in part to the novelty and uniqueness of the product and the scarcity in other products of some of the autographs that were included. It would appear for now that Sportkings is following Series A with an even bigger bang to draw collectors by offering more limited print-runs and historic and sure to be highly sought after cut signatures.
