$25,000 for an Autograph?
July 24th, 2008 • Related • Filed Under
Many of us have and will pay $25,000 for something in our lifetimes, but (for most) an autograph is not one of those things. Come August, however, Sportsbuy.com and the National Sports Collectors Convention are willing to pay that for a single autographed photo by the infamous Cubs fan Steve Bartman. As discussed in a story on Yahoo sports, as well as Deadspin, if Mr Bartman signs the photo it will be later auctioned off with proceeds going to Chicago based charity.

Apparently Mr Bartman has officially declined. Understandable in that he has always distanced himself from the circus those events unleashed, but maybe they could have made some type of charitable event out of it.
