Some Auctions Worth a Look

With a little time on my hands thanks to the long weekend, I’ve been perusing some current sports card auctions and thought I would share some that caught my eye for one reason or another:

Albert Pujols 2001 SP Authentic Future Watch #/1250 - Graded BGS 10 - Pristine

Auction Ends May 31, 2009

Michael Jordan 2009 Upper Deck Black Autographed Laundry Tag 1/1

This is just a very cool card, and something that is unique to this product.  Notice Upper Deck didn’t put a sticker auto on the laundry tag.

BIN at $9,999.00 or BO

Matt Ryan 2008 Leaf Rookies & Stars Jumbo Patch Black 1/1

These 1/1’s are cards that DLP just got right.

Auction Ends May 28, 2009

Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio and White Ford 2008 Triple Threads Cut Auto

I’ve never seen a card like this, and, like it or not, it’s about as unique as you’re going to get.  Rather than three separate autos cut from anything from index cards to magazine covers, Topps actually found a ball with all three autographs located closely enough together to put that piece of leather into a card.

BIN at $2,999.00 or BO

Baseball Cards

This could quite possibly be the single most important sports card auction in the hobby’s history.  As per the description, be sure to check out the pictures!

Auction Ends May 31, 2009

Opening Bid: $1,001.00

Popularity: 16% [?]
