The 2009 National in Cleveland Ohio is only 32 days away, so there is 1 question…Are you ready?

The National is more than just sportscards…they also have autograph signers, jerseys, and well, the IX Center has an indoor ferris wheel.

It’s a great time to get together with the faces behind the screen names of the site.  The 2007 Cleveland National had a great turnout from TCG.

This is just one ‘group’ of TCGers, in all, I’d guess close to 15 of us met up at various times.  But do not think that all we do is go to the show.  Most hotels in the area will offer shuttle service to various locations, or since Cleveland is a large city, cabs or public transportation can come into play.  Keep this in mind, it’s not all about going to the show, its about hanging out with people and just having a grand time.

Alright, mostly its about the cards.  Ask Zeeck, as he eats ice cream with a box of Contenders in front of him.

If you are going to be in the area, or would like to meet up with several of us, we are staying at the Holiday Inn Airport July 31st and August 1st.  Several folks have rented rooms, and we are putting several guys to a room to make it cheaper for everyone.  From early indications, Brian Zeeck (Founder), “Amish” Dave Archer, “Emo” Dan Rykiel, and myself will be carpooling.  Phil Andrews (Founder) also has a hotel room booked, and may be carpooling with Brett Laidlaw (Founder) and, Rob Riina (Founder), if they can clear it with work and family.  Also, there are talks of “Redneck” Stefan Fudge meeting up with Elan the redskins guy with the long last name meeting up with us.

So come join us for a good time, or PM us lists of what you are looking for, with a phone number or texting number, so if we run across it we can hash out details on the spot.  I know I love going through the ‘junk’ boxes with Amish Dave and Dan.  Zeeck will be all over the vintage stuff.  There will be box break recaps, pictures of celebrities and athletes, and of course pictures of some of the pickups.  Dan will have his laptop, as will I, not sure who else will have them, but we will post from the hotel.
