The Wednesday night sneak peek at Nationals is a chance to scout out the show, find the odd bargain, and plan out your strategy for the remaining four full days of the event.  For the show this year I’ve become the bag lady. Yes, I am carting around a red rolling bag full of cards I’m willing (not necessarily looking) to sell or trade.  Going into the preview I made the decision that I was not going to purchase, sell, or trade anything until at least Thursday.

While I picked up a few small pieces, and politely turned down many requests to sort through my Sunday best, I did get a better idea of what I’ll be able to find on Thursday and Friday.    For my personal collection I will be able to make some inroads into the Oregon Duck Project.  In terms of updating the cards I have available to sell/trade at my local shows it will be a bit more difficult.  When not rooting through binders of vintage football, I’ll have to start dealing withe a few of the dealers I found that have pieces I wouldn’t mind getting to freshen up my showcases.  Out for now!
