OK, here's my shot.

John Riley introduced John Lennon to LSD.

The significance of the monkey is two fold.

#1 John Lennon wrote the song "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey".

#2 A monkey was involved in the initial study that LSD did not result in chromosomal damage.
