Great deal. If Jones can re-gain his old form, it'll be well worth it.
Now, if the Dodgers can trade the albatross, it'll have been a fantastic off-season for the Dodgers.

Big IF. That is a lot of money, albeit only short term, to gamble.

Looks like Colletti found the checkbook again. I personally can't call it a great signing, but it has some upside if Jones doesn't repeat last year. However, it is a pretty steep price unless he returns to mid-30 HR form.
So Pierre goes to left, Jones is in Center, can Ethier and Kemp split time adequately for 2 years in RF? Or a 4 man rotation somehow? Or is Kemp getting shipped off?
I personally don't know how Pierre's deal gets moved, but if money isn't a problem, I bet the Dodgers eat part of the contract in a deal.

Jones was injured all year (elbow), let him get healthy and he will be good.

It's definitely worth the risk. Odds are Jones returns to form as opposed to repeating his 2007 season.
If the Dodgers are smart, they'll go with an OF of Ethier/Jones/Kemp. That is the best OF they could put out there.
Pierre might be an attractive option to some teams who don't want to pay Aaron Rowand or Mike Cameron's price tag. The Dodgers should do whatever it takes to move him, even if it means eating a good portion of the contract. I could see him going to the White Sox (Ozzie Guillen is enamored with the guy).
The Dodgers trading Kemp would be the single-biggest mistake since trading Pedro Martinez for Delino DeShields.
