Five years. Definitely a Sabean-esque deal here.

Not terrible, but not great, either.

That is the only positive of this deal, IMO. I can't really believe the Giants ever considered Lincecum for Rios. As much as I like Rios, Lincecum has a chance to be an ace for many years.

Dammit Dustin, always trying to bait me into posting in baseball stuff. I used to think 12 million dollars was a lot of money once. Do I love this deal? I like the acquisition itself in Rowand, and I guess this was the going rate. However, not as much in terms of how it fits on the books, since the Giants allegedly have a budget. I'd like it a lot more if Dave Roberts got moved, but since that won't be the case, the Giants will have a very well paid outfield that will produce roughly average results. I wanted to see Davis and Schierholtz get some more AB's this year, but the Giants are pros at blocking their younger players. But at least this OF will cover some good ground out there. As was already mentioned, it's a great thing that Sabean didn't trade away Lincecum.

I don't even pay attention to baseball anymore. I played in college but don't like to watch it at all unless its in person.

:ban: me for that.

I was thinking more like 60-102. With that lineup, they'll be lucky to average four runs per game.

Dustin - 4 runs per game ? 4 runs per series would be an accomplishment :lollol:
