I am an RPG fan and i currently have a DS which i got a year ago. im not a huge console guy anymore and thought a DS, with games like mario kart, FFIII, and so on would be enough to get me through those little gaming craves. however, i just finished my last game i had stashed away and after looking through the available games (and future releases) im starting to look down on my DS.
Being a huge RPG fan, i began looking at a PSP, because of the two remakes of the first two FF games, FF tactics, FFVII Crisis Core, and so on, just to name a few.
was just curious what you guys thought about the PSP and is there any huge difference between the core, the slim, and the star wars special edition systems.
Thanks for looking and sorry for the long read

I love my PSP. I like RPG's too. Final Fantasy Tactics is pretty much a port from the original, so I haven't really gotten into it. I would recommend getting the slim version. Supposedly it loads games a bit faster and is also lighter. That's my biggest gripe about the PSP - the slow load times.

i have one of the original ones that came out and i love it. makes the days at work during the winter tolerable, since there isn't much going on here. i enjoy the movie selection but i prefer the older style games. i had Will (HIM) track down one for me in TX and it's great, i play it all the time.

Oh okay. Yeah i've played FF tactics a bit when i was younger, but back then, beating games werent really my priority, so i didnt really care. would love to pick it up again and see what changes they made to the game. Thanks for the advice about the slim version. wondering if theres any difference from the slim version and the star wars white version, besides the cosmetics.

Ah okay. just curious, what are the older style games? Im seriously considering picking up one, but going to wait at least until my birthday in January if i do decide to pull the trigger. Thanks for your input

i can't play games like halo or call of duty, can't play those type of games, have to be able to see the whole guy or it makes me dizzy and than iget frustrated because "if you move the controller your guy should too"

but i like the older games like pac-man and galaga (my fav).

and i suck at all the new games
