if we would go ahead and execute all of the murderers and rapists, instead of life sentences, and cut down the appeals process we would have room and money for her. And I do not want to hear all that liberal crap about it costs more to house an inmate on death row instead of life in prison, it is because of the appeals process. Also prison is not about rehabilitation it is about punishment. My solution is if someone is convicted of a horrendous murder/rape or whatever. As soon as the trial is over put a bullett in their head, and throw them in a dumpster. That would cut down on costs considerably.

The entire justice system, not just of the US but of almost every modern capitalist society is completely jaded and rendered ineffective by too much regard for the rights of the offenders.
The biggest problem is that there is alot of money to be made in this industry and it would take some near dictatorship decisions to be made to change it. I would fully support that an accused is not innocent until proven guilty, but rather accused of a crime and without rights until proven innocent or guilty.
Enough of a free ride for criminals. Too many look at it as an easy way through life. Jail is easier than the streets. It ceased to be a punishment a long time ago. Stop trying to convince people what is right and wrong and convince them that jail is somewhere you do not want to be. Jail should be the worst place on earth where you are punished on a daily basis in very disturbing ways. Make it so people dread ever going there. And once convicted the person loses all rights whatsoever. To anything. Rights can be earned with behaviour and personal iniative to educate themselves or make amends. Earn them back.

First off, I agree 100% with GiantFan. We should make jail as un-desirable as possible. And when they DO make it to jail we should take away ALL rights.. that's part of being in jail. To punish, not reward.
Now.. this Paris thing is complete crap! Ney.. it is bulls--t! If she does nto want to eat a hotdog(which would be a first for her) then she goes hungry. COme morning if she does nto want to eat breakfast, again, she goes hungry. At some point she WILL eat, and if she does not, well, you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink. She's cold?!?! Too f-ing bad! Had she ht and killed someone while drunk driving that person would not have had the OPTION to be cold. This is not supposed to be some cake walk where she get's her way. It is jail. And I do NOT care who/what she is. If this were me or you or a "little person" they would have kept us in and make us suffer. Total CRAP! I would have been told that is was fine not to eat the hotdog and that breakfast was at 8. I would have been told to shut the f up for being cold. I would NOT have been let out early becuase of overcrowding. Screw the "special needs" ward for safety. You didn't do a "special needs" crime. You did the same crime the commoner did and you should pay the same way. If you fear someone may put a hit on you to make theri name.. so be it, then dont do the crime! Just becuase you have a few bucks does not make you special. You do NOTHING! All that skinny bithc is is a rich socialite that sits around and partied and spends her parents money and does NOTHING... well, except suck a mean cock I hear....
... ug.. I have much more but I am at work and my co-workers are looking at me wierd...... PHUQ PARIS!!!!!! ANd I dont mean "proper".

you can say that again. It is totally wrong, imo....
OK, I am with you guys on her getting out early.
But....as far as killing people ASAP, I have a real problem with that. Way too many innocent people in jail. Overzealous prosecutors, racist/biased jurors, judges on an ego trip, etc, etc, etc. Should jail be hell for these people? Yes. But there is a thing called due process (amongst other things) and that is one reason why people risk their lives and everything they have to come here.

I am no way saying lets kill them. But lets not make is a cake walk. Our criminal system is a joke! Sure, there a thousands of innocent people, I agree. And that would be fixed a little if we made jail something to aspire NOT to get into. Stop the problem at the beginning. Consequences are too soft.

Just had to throw me under the bus, didn't ya!
I personally think there are far more important things to get angry over than someone getting out of jail after 3 days of what was only a 23 day sentence to begin with.

No doubt. But the little things add up and it is good to get it out from time to time.
I gurantee you there are people that go in for the same amount of time who mentally and emotionally cant handle it but because the majority of those arent as rich and famous as her, we have to suck it up.
I gurantee you nobody poor gets to turn themselves in when its best for them.

Former publicist and current author/blogger Jonathon Jaxson says that depression and panic attacks were the mysterious "health reasons" that forced Paris Hilton to be released early. JJ says:
Paris was apparently suffering from severe panic attacks and depression, where she even became suicidal. Towards the end of her stay, Paris began, what others call, a nervous breakdown. Her psychiatrist was so concerned for her well being they did everything possible to get her to a place in which was comfortable for her and her health.
What do we have, voluntary f*cking prisons in LA now? No sh!t she didn't like it and freaked out, that's the point. I'm surprised they didn't just lock her up inside Magic Mountain. "I sentence you to 30 days on Viper and Goliath, and at night you will be confined to Bugs Bunny World where you will be served funnel cakes and those batman shaped popcicles. The grape ones. I think they have strawberry too and I guess you can have those if you want..."
awww poor baby...in the military prison system everyone who is locked up is under a watch program for suicide, and if you are suicidal you get the blue suit, someone sitting outside your door, a mattress, and a pillow, thats it...people think saying 'im going to kill myself' gets you somewhere in the system, and it gets you less, at least in the military...and yeah everyone has a breakdown, thats the point...what a bunch of hogwash

2 words white and rich
they made Lil Kim serve her time and it was federal and she didn't get out after a few days, they made her serve the whole time. who cares if she was having panic attacks, give her some xanax and send her to bed. heard she was having allergic reactions to the linens too, who cares about that, teach her to fold clothes so she gets the reaction all over her body, bet she will think twice about listening to counsel again when they say her lisence isn't suspended anymore.
she need to own up and take responsiblity, anyone else would have had the door slammed on them that night they got busted for violating their probation, her she gets a while of freedom before they "force" her to turn herself in, AFTER going to an awards show. gee we can really see what is important to her

She needs to go back for the good of the American legal system....since it's based on precedent, this would be an absolutely horrible one to set. Not serving jail time because it's not comfortable? Give me a f**king break!!!

Yep, the whole point of jail is to take everything away and make you uncomforatable this way you will not do it again. I would hate going to jail, if I ever had to, but I would have to serve my sentance. It would be interesting to have someone do the exact same crimes as Paris and when they do not get the same sentance, appeal and challange the fairness of the legal system.

That is EXACTLY what would happen. If a precedent is set like this, everyone in the same boat will start becoming suicidal and fake nervous breakdowns.

I'm guessing that famaous hard ass sherrif in Arizona (who I think offered to take her in) would not have let her out...

Mike Rowe/Joe Arpio FTW
actually the last thing i read about this is that the judge who sentenced her said that she was to spend the ENTIRE sentence in JAIL and none of it could be commuted to anything other than the County Jail and that the Sheriff didnt have the jurisdiction to release her in the first place...hopefully she gets locked back up

Sliq is right. They are having a hearing with the judge at noon eastern. The judge is pissed and they are having an emergency hearing and she may have to go back to jail. Just saw a photo of the handwritten order from this judge on the sentencing document:
No Work Furlough
No Work Release
No Electronic Monitoring
No Weekends
No City Jail
Hopefully after this hearing she will be put back where she belongs.
