Does anybody remember the flash-forward when Jack gets annoyed in the hospital and says "go upstairs and get my father, if I'm drunker than he is you can fire me." I guess his father is alive.

What an ending.

Why the look into the future? I thought something was up during the whole off island thing with Jack, didn't guess it was from after they get off till the end. I'm guessing freckles is with Sawyer, really wonder who the funeral was for, maybe Lock? Next season looks like another big change in plot line. What a show!! If your not watching catch up during the summer with the DVD's it's the best Network show on the air imo.

but couldnt find any names...

Jack seems to reply "EITHER"

If anybody is a gadget freak like me, did you notice Jack in his flasbacks'forwards had a RAZR cell phone? Those werent around when the show started a few years ago, and couldnt have been around before the plane crashed, assuming it is set in present day (which it is b/c I remmeber Ben giving Jack info on the Sox winning the world series...lol.

Anyway, right away, I said to the wife, "that phone wasnt even around then". I thought it was a prop mistake-not a clue. I should have had it figured out earlier.

Great ending, but I am a bit confused as well on a few things.

1. Jack asking for his dad.
2. Who is Kate with?
3. Who is in the coffin? Charlie? Ben?
4. Jack had maps all over his floor near the end, like he was looking for the island. Did some get left behind?

From the beginning of the episode, I had a feeling (some how) the flashbacks to Jack were really flashforwards. I didn't say anything to my brother at the time, though. And WTF was up with Walt? Will we see Michael again? I'm surprised Charlie didn't try to fit out of the window. And how the hell was teh cyclops still alive? Then again, this isn't the first time we thought he was dead.

1. Jack is so hopped up on goofballs he doesn't know what's going on. He's obviously suicidal.
2. Sawyer
3. Locke? Ben seems too obvious, but it's a good guess.
4. I don't think so. I think he's realize Ben was right about him making the call.

That was an outstanding finale. One of the best finales of any show in a good long while. I can't wait until next season.

I've been bad... been reading some "Lost" Message Boards... man, some of the theories are nuts, but there are some nice theories.

Anywho, the name in the obitutary... seems to start with a J. Some people have said the name is Jeremy Bentham. He was a philospher. John Locke was also a philosopher. Hence my theory, the man in the casket is our John Locke. It might be a stretch, but that's what I'm going with. :)

Also, some interesting things I found while perusing those boards:

The name of the funeral parlor, "Hoffs Drawlar," is an annogram for "Flash Forward"

The woman in the car accident looked like Juliet's sister, Libby (the one who couldn't get pregnant, but did and had a kid)

Why was Penny conveniently sitting at the microphone right as Charlie entered the code to stop the jamming...?

Plenty more, I'm sure.

Crazy awesome finale last night. Stoked to see Jack go crazy. His consistent confidence has worn thin on me so it is funny to see him go completely nuts:p

Amazing show last night. One of the best final shows of a season I've ever seen. I've been hating Jack for a while now since he is such a ***** all the time. I'm glad he stood up to little **** Ben. I wanted him to choke him out.

Jack totally realizes that there is nothing for him back home and he liked being the leader on the island and now he has no one to help or save when really what he needs to do is save himself. I hope the next three seasons all consist of flashforwards where they don't really tell you what happened but give little hints in the flashforwards and make the forward flashes go backward in time as the rest of the show goes forwards and then meet in the middle. Get that?
