A group of protesters came toward his delegation and tried to rip the credentials off their necks and sprayed them with a toxic substance that burned their eyes and stained their clothes.
One 80-year-old member of the delegation had to be treated for injuries, and several other delegates had to rinse their eyes and clothing, the station reported.
Terry Butts, a former Alabama Supreme Court justice who is a convention delegate, was on a bus taking delegates to the arena when a brick through the window sprayed glass on him and two others.
Lighting a trash bin on fire and pushing it into a police car.
Smashed windows of cars and stores.

YEP go ahead and judge the ENTIRE Democratic party on the actions of a few morons... Who probably are not even registered Dems...
Typical....
BTW, here in San Diego I join about every peace march in recent memory, and NOT ONCE have we ever done anything resembling these acts. Oh wait, someone might have dropped a kleenex. Oh, the horror....

Yes
It all shakes my faith in humanity and the intellegence of both sides/parties in our country
I can't help but feel we are royally screwed either way by the way
Agreed an all accounts. It's just comical to me seeing people get so passionate about debating politics. People are going to feel/believe what they want and nothing you say or do will change their mind. That's why I hate people trying to shove propoganda down our throats.

Do anarchists discriminate? They were not at the DNC doing this, in fact there were hardly any protests at DNC.
They sure as hell are not voting republican, unless they are Ron Paul supporters. Even though Ron Paul mildly supports McCain, or at least he doesn't support Obama.

If anything we need to go to Afganistan and turn that into the biggest sandlot ever then come home and thats it. Lets just fix our issues here and find new sources of energy , fule here. We have yet to see any Oil from Iraq . Now stop bitching about stuip stuff . When the election comes speak then, by VOTING !!!! The more people that vote the better . I know who i'm voteing for and its not Mccain . I have enough of the Bush type people .

Any time any political thing gets going, there are going to be protests. Having been part of quite a few protests myself, I can tell you first hand that the worst we have ever done is to close down an intersection and maybe a few roads with our marches (all closures were planned in advance and approved and supervised by local PD). We are peaceful, and have always cleared our actions with law enforcement.
I can say that I don't condone the actions of anyone that would cause damage to someone's property, or harm anyone, that is not what we are about.
