Yes. He will probably drive #5 or #25. Bud will probably stay with him though.

so the only way he could keep #8 would be for his current sponsor to release the number? Sorry for the dumb question but I know about as much about NASCAR as a piece of wood.

Budweiser is his current sponsor. They will probably follow him. They would be stupid not to. The only way for him to stay with the #8 car would be to stay with DEI and that isn't going to happen. The cars (and the numbers) are owned by the teams.

I will now hate Dale Jr.

Rick Hendrick is in bed with Nascar

Nascar so far this season has sucked completely

They might as well just let only the 4 Hendrick cars run and have everyone else stay at home, because a Hendrick car is going to win, it is a given.

Dale Jr can also stay in the #8 car if Busch signs with DEI and DEI trades the #8 car to Hendrick for the #5 car.

Not a huge NASCAR fan, but I think it would be cool if he got to keep his number. Im a big fan of athletes keeping theri number if they can..

If it were up to Dale Jr. is would be done, but the decision is Teresa Earnhardt's (his step mom who owns DEI) to make and she may be stupid about it after what Dale did. I hope he gets to stay in the #8. It won't be the same seeing him drive a #5 Bud car. :(

If I were DEI, I'd only sell if Budweiser agreed to stay as a sponsor for one of their cars.... :D

I'm pretty sure Budweiser has already said that they would go wherever Dale Jr. goes. They would be stupid not to. He is the most popular driver.
