Last weekend one of our starters for the local hockey club got taken out when a Fresno player "butt ended" him (shoved the butt of the stick into his chest between the pads) and the guy gets a 10 minute misconduct, a game misconduct and a 5 minute major for butt ending. no additional fines or suspensions from the league.
Friday night in Idaho, one of our fighters, gets a 2 minute penalty for "elbowing" for dishing the puck out of our zone, on his follow through on the pass, he never lowered his elbow cause some guy was coming in behind him to hit him. well he's huge and the guy was little so he basically skated over him. i get an email yesterday from the echl that our guy got suspended for 6 freaking games.
how freaking fair is that?
