I am not going to talk about the awful management in nearly every aspect, but saw this on the news the other night:

The average Detroit auto plant woker makes $23.50 per hour AFTER taxes, so that is nearly $30/hour.

That is rediculous for the type of work they do. You can operate a plant for so much cheaper. This is another reason why the foreign cars are doing so well because they are building plants in non-union areas so they can pay less and keep their costs down. Just my thoughts :pop:

Yeah, and now the gov't has to decide if they want to reward piss poor management by bailing them out or allow a serious chain reaction with the potential of major layoffs across the country. Wonderful choices.

The bailout will happen because the dems in congress feel like they have to pay the unions back for getting obama elected.

unions killed detroit, and now they are going to kill the average tax payer when and if the bailout gets passed. At one time unions were a necessity, now they are a major liability.

The unions better remember that at on time the steelworkers made mad money and the their unions got them so much that the US now makes about 12 pounds of steel a year.

It can happen to cars to, stop being greedy pigs.
