This has a been in the making for a couple years now, but I figured an arrest wouldn't happen until he was out of office, a la George Ryan. Ah, just another Illinois governor going to prison. In my lifetime, there's only been one Illinois governor who manages to stay out of prison. Obama and Mayor Daley always kept their distance from Blagojevich, and for good reason, obviously. It's as if even within their own party they knew that this guy was toxic.

:shifty:
they arent going back to the 'pay to play' stuff of the last 4 years, they are saying that its that he was looking to place the highest bidder into Obamas senate seat and withholding money from the potential sale of the cubs...the 'pay to play' is the 3rd count...
think it boils down to Rezko singing for a deal, and i dont figure Daly and Obama are too far behind...we all know politicians are corrupt, but its the extent of the corruption...
So many comments to make :pop:

Sounds so much like "The Wire" - politics is corrupt everywhere to some lesser or greater degree at whatever level.
