People wanted change. This is a change.
I like how there is a mild crisis in the administration with Geitner and the AIG bit and he is bowling, playing basketball and working on his brackets.
oh.....I forgot.....and making fun of the special olympics.

Right...
His Chief of Homeland Security is now referring to terrorist attacks as "man-caused disasters."

Seriously did you never watch a Bush media event? I am saying this not as a supporter of one or the other, but if you just sat there as an unbiased observer and tallied grammatical errors, broken thoughts and verbal diarrhea Bush has this race by a country mile a month into his presidency. Obama has had his slip ups to date (and I'll be honest, it's not my country and i can care less who runs it for you or how well they do it so I don't "support" anyone in this horse race) but the LAST thing a Bush supporter should pick out as a sign of weakness is screwing up during a speech. We had a media outlet here who had a weekly show that highlighted Bush's burp of the week and they sometimes aired 10 because there was so much material to work with.
Just saying this as a non-biased party, Republican/Bush supporters can likely find more things to criticize but you've built up an 8 year deficit on stupid media comments so that one is gonna be off limits to you for a term ;)

As far as the Economy goes this is as much if not more Clintons fault then Bush's. Allow me to explain you see in the 1950s there was an act called the Glass Seagle Act which prevented Banks from getting out of control and basicly do whatever they heck they felt like well in 1995 the Clinton administration got rid of it which caused a huge economic boom while people who were making 40K were taking out 500K loans for houses and buisness' that they could not afford to pay back. Now this worked out fine while everyone was taking out second and third loans to pay of the first the Banks were making a killing (as long as people could eventually pay for everything)but it was like putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound in the long run it just fell apart. Now since Obama has brought in the entire Clinton administration (for change of course) then we have no chance of fixing anything because we have the same clowns trying to fix it that did not see it becoming an issue 13 years ago. Here is some info on the glass slade act for those who care enough to look it over.

March 1995 - Less than 2 months after becoming Secretary of the Treasury, Rubin asked Congress to repeal the Glass-Steagall Act and to change the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956.
White House Is Joining in Efforts To Loosen the Limits on Banking
The Clinton Administration plans to call this week for legislation that would allow commercial banks, securities firms and insurance companies to merge, forming giant financial services companies that would offer everything from checking accounts to mutual funds and life insurance, Federal officials say.
In a speech prepared for delivery in New York on Monday and in Congressional testimony scheduled for Wednesday, Treasury Secretary Robert E. Rubin will urge Congress to repeal the Depression-era Glass-Steagall Act, the officials said. For more than 60 years, the law has forced financial concerns to choose between owning commercial banks or owning securities companies like brokerage firms and investment banks, but not both.
Mr. Rubin also plans to call for broad changes in the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, which has effectively barred most financial concerns from owning both commercial banks and insurance companies, said the Federal officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Mr. Rubin’s speech will represent the first time that the Administration has taken a position on eliminating the legal and regulatory barriers among financial industries.
Regulatory changes in recent years have already allowed commercial banks, like Citibank, to begin selling stocks and mutual funds on a limited basis. But the Glass-Steagall Act still bars Citibank, for example, from merging with a brokerage firm like Merrill Lynch or an investment bank like Goldman, Sachs, which provides corporate investment advice and helps companies issue stock. The Bank Holding Company Act bars Citibank fom merging with a big insurance company like Prudential.
Rubin stayed at Treasury until his retirement in 1999. He was the “greatest secretary of the Treasury since Alexander Hamilton,” according to Clinton. Also in 1999, Rubin joined Citigroup. From wikipedia:
Of note, the supermerger between Travelers Group and Citicorp was facilitated by the repeal of the Glass Steagall Act (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act).

OMG, Obama makes mistakes? He is human? Well, let me be the first to say I was fooled. I thought he was the second coming of christ. At least he is more intelligent and more likable than Bush. He has that going for him.

everything above the link I wrote myself and everything below the link was cut and pasted from the link site for those who did not want to follow the link. It is very good information though and it does help explain what has brought us to this point. I know alot of you do not agree with me on these topics but I do spend alot of time researching and following what happens in our politics. We may disagree about our leaders and policys but one thing we do agree on is we want what is best for our country we just have different views on what that might be. :salut:
