:steam:
time to get them good :jet:
it was an 'unknown' problem for the most part since before last week when they took the american ship...but piracy has been a problem in the area for at least 7 years :salut: time to step down from the middle east and go to the african coast...

I had heard, maybe a year or so ago, they were also a major problem on Asian trading routes.
Kill them all.

Why can't these ships have rocket launchers on them ? Seriously, there's four Somalian's that took the captain in last week. Combined weight of said Somalian's: 200 lbs ? Come on. This is like a wrestling story line :naughty:
Just drop a nuke on Somalia and we can eliminate SEVERAL problems at once
Rocket launchers? Just give somebody on the ship a .45. The only reason these pirates are capturing ships is because they can - bring a gun of your own to the party and they'll stop.

I completely agree with you Tazz, I bet if they armed everyone on the ship and one of the pirates or 3 of them got shot and killed, they'd leave em alone. Or say give em a shoot to kill order and they get $500 to clip one from as far out as they can. Bet they turn around if one of them gets shot long before they get to the ship

to lazy to look it up but commercial ships aren't allowed to be armed. ANd around Malaysia they have a lot of piracy issues too. Many cruise ships are loaded with non lethal devices to help protect them, for some reason these cuise ships going into and out of this area don't seem to apply the same.

For the longest time, airplanes weren't allowed to be, either.
