This whole thing with Dave is totally weak. People who are out bitching about this are those that represent what is wrong with this country....

At the end of the video, you will see 2 dudes from the Howard Stern show in the background.. You can even hear the cops call Sal.... lol

*Yawn*

I'm so over Sarah Palin. I want her to go away, but she won't. But the "shock" is over.

Slutty flight attendant... good one, Dave! :P

And people just need to have something totally not important to complain about. It's the American way!

Both sides look for reasons to be critical. They need to just worry more about their own house instead of throwing stones at the other.

I didn't see it, so I am talking out of my ass a little here, but wasn't the shot not at Palin but her daughter  If so, I don't blame her for being pissed and I don't think there are any parents on here who wouldn't be pissed if their kids were being made fun of on the Letterman show.

If this isn't what happened, ignore me or yell at me for posting out of ignorance.

didnt click the link, but ive seen what has been going on back and forth...

i thought the original joke was made towards Bristol who got knocked up at 17...but i dont think a comedian needs to apologize for their work...the whole idea is shock value...

If she doesnt want their kids to be the butt end of a joke, keep them out of the spotlight.

I did not check the link but the issue was that David made a joke about Palins daughter getting "knocked up" in the 7th inning of a yankees game the problem was the only daughter that went to the Yankees game was ther 14 year old daughter Willow. He was completly in the wrong and as far as wanting Palin to just go away she was staying out of the spot light for the most part until lettermen said this about her 14 year old. I do not blame her for being mad. Now there is a possibility that David thought the joke was about Bristol and did not do his research to make sure which girl was at the game but either way it is his fault.

Going to a Yankees game is not in the spotlight. I do not think Letterman or any comedian made jokes about Obama's kids.

Oh man, imagine if someone said something like this about Obama's daughter??? There would be OUTRAGE.

The whole thing is really stupid if you ask me. Letterman was wrong, I believe he didn't mean it about the younger daughter but still a stupid joke. Palin should've just let it go instead of getting fired up as much as she did.

If Obama had a kid that got knocked up out of wedlock at that age they would be all over it. Lets not kid ourselves and spin this into something its not.

Palin paraded her family, just like they all did. As a politician your family will be scrutinized. Personally it wont impact my vote, but they should expect it and grow some thicker skin. The Lettermen thing should have been a non-issue.

There would be lots of sympathy and outrage if someone said that about his kid who was 14 years old. I don't care what anyone says.

Oprah would do a special on child predators, Keith Olbermann would do some stupid monologue about the disgusting women hating people of the world, Chris Matthews would cry on his show......etc...

Half joking but still think there would be outrage.

The joke was not about Bristal the one that had the kid the joke was about Palins 14 year old girl Willow. If someone said that about one of Obamas kids it would some how get turned into a racist coment and they would try and find a way to blame it on Fox news.

Dude, the important thing to remember is that he thought the 14 year old was an 18 year old. He didn't mean to make a sexual joke about a teenager.

So he says. There is no proof that he thought it was about the 14 year old and if so it is still his fault and he has to deal with the backlash. Then his half hearted first apology when he said" Am I sorry? Probably" saying your probably sorry is a pretty lame jab at trying to get yourself out of trouble.

The elections are over the Palins have done nothing to warrant these type of actions and David should know when to let it go. He has been non stop attacking the Republican party and has turned into nothing more then a Left Wing propaganda machine.

She was running fro VP she would not of been dealing with NK McCain would of. Not that Obama has done anything while "Dealing" with them. She had every right to flip out about him making a joke about her 14 year old girl he was completely out of line and showed NO class.

She is a total mess, and has become more of a joke than ever. She is clinging on to this story to keep her relevant, and trying to say "oh look how bad these libs are", Total BS. She's out of her mind, and sorry, but those that think this is a big issue, I have no time for, and frankly, laugh at. people need to get a life...

The left wing media hype is so overblown. Let's not forget that Chelsea Clinton took a beating for her looks for most of the Clinton era.

Obama's kids will take flack, when they do something outside the box. Its not a party thing. Both sides overblow every little thing out there to try and further their agenda.

Dave has nothing to apologize for, it was a bad joke...it wont be his last. If you find him wrong or not funny just watch Conan or something else.

Agreed but nothing has happened to McCain so if he would of won he would still be calling the shots. Also on that note we would all be screwed if something happened to Obama and Biden took over that guy is a complete tool.

Palin is a media whore with the intelligence of a can of chicken noodle soup. Letterman is one of the most successful comedians/late night talk show hosts in history. He made a joke about A-Rod and who he thought was Bristol Palin. Ooops, the other daughter was at the game. Big f%#king deal.

Palin has proven time after time that she NEEDS attention and will do anything to stay relevant. She has no credibility in these types of situations…

Although Letterman had absolutely no need to apologize, he had to because the Alaskan Paris Hilton got sand in her vag and needed to get herself some more spotlight.

That is kind of debatable. He has always been second fiddle to Leno and now Conan will be doing better than him. He may be one of the best, but the late night talk show thing had only been one channel (NBC) for a long time.

if he would not of said anything about her 14 year old girl none of this would of happened. She is not at fault for defending her kid. even if it would of been Bristol it still would of been out of line. Bristal has done nothing wrong she got pregnant at an early age just like millions of other girls have in America. It is sad and unfortunate that she is 18 now and the whole country is treating her like a whore. She did what she felt was right keeping the baby and she should be praised for that. The young lady made a mistake she should not have to deal with all of America acting like she is the only person in this country that ever messed up.

I look at it this way. If you are going to be in the public eye you have to accept that you and everything closely associated with you will be scrutinized and even ridiculed at times. I think everyone who makes an attempt for celebrity has to just eat that and expect it to happen. If someone doesn't want to be in the public spotlight then I completely feel sorry for them when they get washed up in the media monster. I feel sorry for the kids because they didn't ask for this. They had it forced on them by the mother. She wanted all the good that came with being a celebrity but doesn't want the bad. A lot of celebrities are like that. Want to exploit the media and bask in the limelight when things are good, but cry for their privacy when negativity arises. Much like this chick who apparently fell asleep and got 65 facial star tattoos. She went whining to the media in hopes it would help her landslide a law suit and doesn't like that she became a source of ridicule. Can't have your cake and eat it too unfortunately.

I agree with you on this 100%. I say Sarah Palin is free game bash her all you want but everyone needs to leave Bristol and the other kids alone. Bristol did the honorable thing by keeping her baby and she should not be made to feel bad about that. By bashing her in the media all your doing is making it easier for other kids to say F it and get an abortion instead of putting up with the ridicule of being a single mom. Now I understand this opens up the whole abortion debate and many of you might be pro-choice and in that case this point means nothing to you but I am a republican and very pro-life so it matters to me. I feel bad for Bristol Palin her and her Boyfreind had been together for a long time (year and a half I think) and she is a young girl who thought she was in love. We have all had premarital sex and some of us have had kids before being married it happens but it does nto make her a whore and she should not have to have the entire media treating her like one.

I'm would never call it the "honorable" thing to do... Why is that honorable? Her mom put her out there in the media, all is fair game...

What was honorable? Keeping the baby instead of having an abortion for starters. As for her mom putting her in the spotlight no the DEMS broke the story and then Palin had no choice but to have Bristol in the spotlight so it would not look like their was a family divide. Bristol did nothing wrong she had sex before marriage I am sure most of us did the same thing she ended up getting knocked up which sucks for her but she has taken responsibility for it and has tried to do the right thing. The young girl needs to be left alone.

Honorable though?

to me honorable and integrity go hand in hand. She did the right thing even though she knew she would becalled a whore and made fun of by the whole nation. For her to look at those facts and still do the right thing was honorable. It would of been very easy for her to go and hide a abortion and hope no one found out but she stuck by her morals. Was she wrong for getting knocked up? Of course but she made the best out of a bad situation.
