they shoot off rockets, then shoot off more rockets, now they are suspected of hacking top government internet servers...

:jet:

North Korea said they were going to shoot missles towards Hawaii on the 4th, then did some short range test fires...i think its time to drop like say 400 nukes on them, since that what we are trying to do, the US and Russia wants to cut their nuke holdings by nearly 400 total :shifty:
seems like a good place to rid ourselves of those nukes

No, I think we should invite their leaders to Washington to talk about it.

funny thing is....if bush was still president it probably wouldn't of got this far.
but problem w/nuking them is, s.korea is our friend....and n.korea is aware of this.
so basically its like them holding a hostage at gun point, and trying to kill the person holding the gun w/a bomb

Definately an economic thing, as we were more justified to go into NK then Iraq at any point in the past decade.
Nice part about Korea, is it would not be a long term presence for us there, as most ant one Korea.
NK would be done in less then 24 hours if we wanted them to be.

You do realize we have already been in Korea for over 50 years so no matter what we are going to be a long term presence there. I was stationed there for 2 years myself and I can say without a shadow of a doubt South Korea would be worse then a 3rd world country if we left. They function mainly off of the paychecks of the American soldiers who are stationed there.
I do agree we could destroy N Korea in about 72 hours but it is tricky because we never know how China is going to act about it since NK and China have been freinds over there for the past 70 years or longer.

Not much more that can be done to north korea than what they have brought upon themselves... would be nice if they just finished off this war once and for all..

It sucks over there. when I was there we had a few fire fights keeping them off the DMZ. The NK Army is very week and they have no disire to fight. The war would look alot like Desert Storm as long as China stays out of it. Now if China jumps in on their side it would get very ugly very fast.

I dont see China helping NK at this point.
I want to see some evidence of soldiers propping up the SK economy. While they have an impact I cant see it being as large as you are implying.
There is a huge difference between having bases in a country and serving as their police and military. We would not have to be neither of those in a conflict with NK.

while I have no "proof" about their economy I am speaking from what I saw in the 2 years I lived there. There are roughly 60-80K soldiers there and the amount of money GI's spend in the bars, shops, etc is a major push that keeps them complexly crumbling finically.

"They" are probably just N. Korea supporters. Doesn't mean they are military/government officials.

Thats my point exactly you are in a bubble the soldiers while no doubt a help to their economy do not make or break it.
SK is the 15th largest economy in the world, I dont think we are sending them to third world status with our military.

15th largest economy? I did not know that. If that is true why is their money so worthless? I thought a strong economy would make their money more valuable. As I said before I can only speek from what i swa while I was there and what I was told by locals and such. I have not done any research on the subject just real life stuff.
