Enough with the sneak, Thursday marked the first full day of fun and festivities that is the National Spors Card show.Â* While I used Wednesday night to get a feel for the lay of the land, Thursday began my pursuit of the Oregon Collection.Â* Picking up several pieces towards my goal was great, but more memorable were the information and stories I picked up just interacting with the vintage dealers.Â* Modern cards come with a price tag, vintage items come with stories.Â* From learning about diamond matchbooks and how to identify what years they are from (1933 are silver only), what to expect in qualiy, to how these unique items are found and discovered sometimes made the morning fly.Â* After spending all my money in the morning, started peddling my cards in the afternoon to reload the wallet somewhat.Â* Ended up sharing a case of 07 Ultimate Collection FB with fellow football collector I met while peddling cards, nice to know there are still set collectors out there.Â* The plan for Friday, sadly my last day, is to find a couple nice Norm Van Brocklins in the morning, and hang out with TCGers in the afternoon.
