It was the first one eliminated by the voters. Couldn't even beat Madrid. Personally, I'm glad. I don't think a city that has one of the worst public school systems in the country has any business devoting that much money to making an olympic bid, let alone hosting the olympics.

Rio could well be a disaster. Madrid would have won if London didn't get 2012.
Over here Chicago was odds-on favourite.

Chicago has been the favorite most of the time in the betting mecca of Las Vegas...
madrid was the darkhorse getting some late support because of the infrastructure they have for transportation and all...
i missed the verdict, but ill see it tonight on the news :dance: im a happy man
