This movie was freaking awesome. Loads of action. Michael Bay managed not to mess up with this movie of a childhood classic. Some will not like it, but it's a spectacle film and it delivers big time. I don't think I could have asked for more.
My brother and I got there about 50 minutes prior to showtime, only to see a line of 300+ people. I was concerned we wouldn't get in because the movie was only supposed to be shown on one screen. But, they opened up two more screens to accommodate for all the people.

I don't think Knocked Up qualifies as a hyped movie.
Spiderman was OK, Pirates was about the same. Haven't seen Ocean's 13.
Transformers and Die Hard are two of the best movies I've seen this year.

OK Dustin, I"m taking your advise. Die hard was the best movie i have seen so far, so I'm hoping that Transformers lives up to the hype.
I liked Oceans 13, waaaaaaaaaay better than the second one. Pirates put me to sleep, and I never saw Spidey
i leave to go see it in 40 minutes, we are going way early so i can get myself set up

I'd recommend avoiding Fantastic 4 and to a lesser extent Spidey 3 as well - not worth the movie prices from my experience.

no desire to see Transformers... way too overhyped, hype makes me go the other direction. If a movie looks good I'll go see it, I don't like for companies to get the impression that it pays to advertise the hell out of something and annoy me with it

we saw it yesterday, my friend and i went 45 minute early to get situated, they didn't open the theater until 20 minutes before, there were about 50 of us standing outside. we filled that theater, good thing we went early.
was by far the best movie i have ever seen so far this summer (i know that didn't make sense) action based from start to finish, the computer stuff they did looked real, it didn't have the fake look, was freaking awesome. i want to see it again but can't drive yet so i have to bribe someone to go with me.
can't wait til next wednesday when harry potter comes out, getting dropped off for that one since i can't drive. going to the first showing

I rank it in the top 5 movies I have seen all time. Just because I was such a huge fan when I was a youngster.
And now I need to get rid of my Chrysler 300, so I can get a new camaro when they come out next year.
I have already told my girlfriend if I have to get two or three jobs to afford one I will do whatever it takes. That car had me drooling.

Saw it Friday, enjoyed it. That Camaro was hot. Funny thing is, halfway through movie previews and the *$&$^&$ fire alarm goes off. Fortunately a worker was in there delivering food and mentioned it has been going off and on all day (they are doing major construction at the theater) so I just sat in the seat, 10 minutes later it restarted.

You have workers who deliver food?!?! WTF? That would at least justify $9.50 for tickets.

I wanted to go to the early showing (11:30 am), and that was being held in the new directors's hall (like i said, they are revamping and adding to the theater.). They have assigned seating and charge a $3.00 premium (so it cost me $10.50). They also will bring food to you if you desire.

The theatre I went to is awesome. While they dont bring food to you at the theatre, they do have an italian restaurant, ice cream parlor, valet parking, reclining seats, and a baby sitting area.

The comfy seats cost 11 rather than 9.50, but they are set up in an opera style seating. They are right up on top and you dont have to walk around and look for a seat to sit in. I dont know what the valet costs, but it appears some people put it to use. Its a beautiful theatre with a huge lobby furnished with actual furniture. I would definately go check it out sometime.

i guess i'm the only one here but definitely not the only one in the world
this was the best cgi ever, hands down
every second a transformer was on screen was awesome but the movie blew hard
micheal bay couldn't have ruined the story more, i didn't even watch the show or read the comics books when i was younger and i hated it
when he says "theres more than meets the eye with you" to the girl i almost left, the acting was pretty bad but the dialog was worse
i also want to know what city they drove to from boulder dam, in about five minutes, that looks like downtown los angeles

I dont know, I thought the acting was on course with the type of movie it was. I think it compares well with Spiderman's acting, and everyone rants and raves about that series. However I dont think Spiderman 3 was that great. Now Im waiting for Harry Potter to come out:D

i guess im not the target audience for these movies but i did really want to like transformers since it looks so cool visually

Ok now that I have seen it I must say it was done VERY WELL ! Figured it would be hard to make the transformation look at least halfway real but they did and I was not disappointed. Great movie , great one liners , decent way each person/group was added to the story.
