Not positive but I believe they got him conscious and he skated off. What is even more sad is that no one on the Devils went after Carter then or for the rest of the game. What kind of weak ass team lets a guy get lit up like that and does nothing?

Oddly he never even received a penalty on the play. I do think the league will still review and sit him a few games.

i think that was a clean hit . He just plowed the guy over.

Caught him blind side and defenseless though. He did arrive just as the guy shot and scored though. Had his arm not been swinging upwards I would call it 100% clean but it really appears he was bringing the elbow upwards for some follow through. Dropping the shoulder to the chest would have achieved the same results and not made it look viscious.
