2010 Products

I doubt we will do anything else for the 2009 season, I would like to thank everyone who participated throughout the past year. As always I'm looking for different ways to better the group and streamline the process. So I've been thinking of a few ideas:
-To reduce the number of payments made (and save on some fees), request an amount such as $50, which should be good for around 15 boxes of cards. We'll just order boxes until the money is out then request more.
-I think it would be fun to do at least 1 box of every 2010 product, would include all the highend products.
-It would be nice to have 32 committed people on all the teams, if you know of other people on other sites that like to do the group buys invite them over.
-Not sure if there will be a draft contest, maybe just randomize names.

Let me know your thoughts or other ideas.

I do like the idea of paying up front . I think we should pay each month to keep the money up for a case of what we deem is the best products .

1 Pay a 1st month fee of 50.00 per team
2 pay 15.00 a month after that for more product or cases. Per team. You can save on Fees as well either by doing payment as a gift or Payment owed.
3 I say we keep teams but do away with players We can either random off the teams or just keep the teams we have now. (I'd like to keep my 2 teams )


50 for the 1st month at 32 teams is 1600.00
15 for the next 8 is 480.00 per month and 3840 overall.
Total of 5440.00 That would be some nice breaks.

Doesn't the sender pay the fees when gifting? I don't know about the payment owed option, can you please explain?

I wouldn't have a problem about getting rid of the players. That is why over the years we've gone from 3 to 2 to 1. My only concern is that some teams just do not have as many rookies, star cards, or legends as other teams. So that could put some people at a disadvantage. But it would make some teams more appealing because the star players are not taken. So it could work both ways.

No charges that i can see when gifting or putting as payment owed. I just sent my other acct some money by payment owed and no fees on either side.
I agree that some teams have more stars or a hot rc . Only other option would be to random off some teams every month if more than 1 person desire that team.
Only other thing i think you could do would be placing a price on each team from 2.00 to 10.00 . all money still goes to the group if someone wants to keep the team after the 1st month then its 2.00 monthly ? just some thoughts .

I have always liked the drafting because some teams are not going to get good draft picks and it make it more fun. For example my cardinals never draft anyone worth a crap. I missed out on Wells this season but it happens. I think if we got rid of the draft and rookies I would probably be done with the group since that is one of the things that has kept me in it so long. I might be dropping a team this season anyways Chelo is not sure if she still wants to collect so i might give her spot up ot keep it myself I have not decided yet.

Love participating myself. Always happy to take multiple but understand if we only have one "slot" each. There are usually 32ish Rookies at the rookie premiere event so perhaps we could draft a team and a rookie??

I'll second that Scotsman. Despite my limited availability to spend time here on the boards, I always find the time to check in on the breaks once a month. I've managed to land some nice cards that I normally wouldn't have gone out to get on the secondary market. Hoping we keep things the same as last year.

There have been several people who have dropped out, we'll definitely need to recruit some more people or find a way to sell unclaimed spots. When I have time this week I'll try to post something. But we won't get started until after the draft this weekend.

Happy to take 4 teams (or less) - whatever. Are we having a draft or are we stuck with our teams again this year? Can't recall whether we get one player also still?? Basically I'll take my 4 unless any opportunity to acquire different team , eg Lions (although I know Jtorto will probably continue with them). Thanks as ever for organising.

Well that leaves 9 teams, I'll take one, but we still need to fill the other 8 or it is not going to be as cheap. I don't expect or want anyone to pick up a second or third team 'just because.' But we do need more/new members to join the group. If you know of anyone or have friends on other sites who collect these teams and may be interested just ask them.

I know we have confirmed teams. Are we picking a player as well? Just curious. It may influence whether I want to pick up another team (ie. I may get another team after everyone has picked there player)
