Not as shocking as some may think, but he's leaving probably $50+ million guaranteed on the table. After the new CBA, there will be a rookie salary cap. He won't get anywhere near that in 2012.

Dumb. I'm a strong proponent of the pursuit of higher education, but that's just dumb. He has nowhere to go but down.

Agreed. Same with Locker last year and Leinart in 2005.

I, too, am all for folks finishing school, but there could be a difference of $30-$40 million dollars. You'd think a kid smart enough to get into Stanford would realize that.

This could also be a telling sign for Jim Harbaugh, who is the hottest name in coaching right now. Would Luck return without Harbaugh returning? We shall see.

Would you want to play for the Panthers? A year from now, the Cowboys could have the #1 pick.

That's one ugly dude.

I heard that Jevad Snead and Matt Leinart were trying to get him to rethink his decision.

His agent must be from the Dumas & Dumas Group.

Yeah, because most guys in their young 20's with tens and millions probably wouldn't be able to touch a college-aged pussy to save their lives.

It's about accessibility of the ladies on campus.

Panthers to take Da'Quan then?

I am curious, what will happen, if there is a lockout as far as contracts. What is the incentive to sign the guy if you don't have a training camp?

I cant believe he didnt come out, but its his call.

Lets not compare him to Leinart and/or Locker... Luck will be the top pick anytime he decides to come out. Best QB prospect since Peyton Manning.

I wasn't comparing them in terms of ability, just the overall decision.

People were saying that about Sam Bradford last year, so doesn't that mean he's the best QB prospect since Bradford? ;)

Barring a catastrophic injury, he'll be a top 5 pick next year.

Never heard that about Bradford, and personally I havent seen more of a sure thing at the QB position.
