ill arrage this one, what i want to do, is set up a 'pick em' where you will pick the winner of the games each week...we can do 2 versions of this...
Version 1 a GU card to play each week, then do a 50% to first place, 25% to second place 10% to third place, 15% to TCG for ebay ventures to raise money to keep the site going...this would be a GU or Auto card with a BV of $5-$10...id like to have 10-25 people playing, and we would do this for 10 weeks and then could do a playoff structure the last few weeks of the season
Version 2 would be same payouts as version 1 but would be open for Inserts/RCs/Autos/GU with a SELL value for $10 per week, limited to 3 cards per week, so if you have a RC card that sells on ebay for $5, and 2 "MAJOR BRAND" Autos from 04-07 we will prorate those at $2.50 each, you can go under but you should be able to dig up 10 cards that will sell for $10...once again a portion of donations will go back to TCG founders for the store or ebay...
this is just a proposition right now, and i would like to run this, I WILL NOT FIELD A TEAM to keep it all fair...at the end of the weeks games i will post the cards sent in for the week and first place will pick first, then second and then third, until all cards have been taken for the week, the 'leftover' cards will go into the TCG pile and can be used the following week if a card is substituted out, so say you have a choice of a Peter Warrick JSY and the house has a Tim Couch Auto, you trade your Warrick for the Couch, and now Warrick goes into the 'House Holdings'
each player would be allowed to field only 1 team per league (league one being the cheap league, team two the bigger card league) id ship the packages out at the end of the 'regular' season ill send out at my expense the cards, but id need your 10 week set sent in to me and i will keep a database of who donated what for which week, and you can bounce your sheets off of mine, because i dont want anyone to suspect there is some sort of scam running here...then we can figure out a playoff system if we want to do this...
so who would be interested in this?...the requirements would be to send a package of cards fitting the specs listed for whatever game, and you can designated you want the caddilac william jsy your week 3 entry...i should be able to get something formal going with this, but i also want TCG to be able to have a small take to help offset the costs or run future events with card prizes, i know zeeck was that guy over on the other site, and i can drop the cards off to him or whatever...
this is still in the infant stage, just looking to see if anyone would be interested...like i said, less than 10 people per league will not be enough, and we will have enough time once we get this set up that you can mail in the cards prior to the first game...
so if you are interested, put interested in "Low End" or "Mid Range" or both, ill see where we are at in a week and try to send a proposition to the management around here to make sure im operating in a manner of which they approve.
