Oklahoma should be 3 -- they should smoke Texas this year... hell OK has a case for 1 or 2 so far as does LSU.
Where is Clemson  Tehy were 25 going into this week

Oklahoma is starting to sell me hence the biggest jump in my poll. I just know the Sooners history of being placed over there head by seasons end.
Clemson needs a bit more on the resume then a home win against the Seminoles. I think they are still a step behind BC and GT in the ACC. But Spiller and Davis are both future NFLers. I am not convinced the Clemson DLine and Cullen Harper are good enough yet.

I have not seen Texas, Wisconsin (more than a minute) Ohio State or Florida play, but from teams I have seen in any order you could swap Oklahoma, LSU and USC. Honestly, I did not like how they did against Idaho, put them third.

Why? If Arkansas can beat Bama then they will enter the rankings. But they are nowhere close to Auburn on defense, and have no passing game. Plus they finished last year really poorly as well.

Alabama will be undefeated when they face LSU:shock:

oklahoma went up 10? you had them at 16 last week?
i dont want to be too much of a homer dick but i thought cbs was retarded for putting oklahoma at 10 last week
no way texas and cali are better than us and did you see louisville try to lose to middle tennessee state? they are not for real. same goes for wisconsin, unlv just nearly ate their lunch i think that means you cant be top ten

if rankings were done just by witnessing games played in my opinion Oklahoma would be #1 or #2 this year..

i would think so too but i havent seen usc play and what i saw of lsu was just the first game against a weaker opponent
and i try not to say that we should be number 1 too much but it seems like a lot of people think they are for real this year

Cullen Harper is a manager, but better at it than Proctor and the LB crew is possibley the best 3 man group ever in CU history and Antonio Clay has been doing well subbing in. I believe they are definitley a top 25 team though. They won 49-26 angainst LA-Monroe, but Monroe scored 2 TDs late against the 3rd team defense. Harper threw 5 TDs against them.

I need to see a quality opponent and see how they do. Morelli has not proven to be the answer for those talented WRs.
I hate the way PSU schedules their OOC games Florida International, Notre Dame, Buffalo, and a trip to Temple? Penn State could run the table this season and it will still be hard to gauge how good they actually are. Im guessing they are the 2nd best team in the BIG 10 at the moment.
As for Oklahoma, after two games im becoming more of a believer... But they have burned me many times in bowl games and ill be watching with a skeptical eye.
I dont think they are anywhere close to the talent of USC/LSU right now.

what makes you say that? usc has one win over a crappy team and lsu has done about the same as oklahoma. except that they had one tough half against their first week opponent who wasnt very good. so you could even make the argument we have been better than lsu
the only reason to say usc is better than oklahoma right now is that they have been better in the past
and that is whats wrong with nearly every poll out there, and your not the only one with a coastal bias, its basically all of the media

Its not a coastal bias unless I am both coasts...
I say that from history, I know you've watched Oklahoma yak the big games at the end of the season. Since the NC the Sooners have laid an egg given any opportunity to compete on the national stage.
I like Stoops, but for me I need to see them stay competitive against a USC, LSU etc... As of late they cant stay on the field.
That said they look the part the first two weeks, hence I moved them up to six.

coastal bias can be either coast, or like you said both
and you further proved my point, history is not what rankings should be based on in a sport where teams basically start anew every year
this is not last year and bob stoop does have one national title, i think thats .5 more titles than lsu has this decade and .5 less than usc has
we have lost some pretty spectacular games in the recent past but its bull that were getting no respect for what we are doing now
nobody dinged usc for losing to a texas team that most thought was inferior, granted it wasnt as bad as ours but they still lost

The difference is our weakest OOC game is your strongest  Nice scheduling JoePa
Even though ill grant you that typically ND is a stronger club then this years version. But PSU scheduled three teams that are not even competitive in their non-BCS conferences.
Ill keep my eye out on Oklahoma, for now im still skeptical I think the bowl failures might be on Stoops which is why im holding the past against them a bit. And its how badly they lose which is making me cautious.
This is why I love CFB we are arguing about three or four ranking spots in a human poll, two weeks into the season!
