must have been a hard choice of over-rated on the Cowboys -- as Roy Williams has to be in that conversation.

Not sure about his justification for Rivers being overrated, but ok....

Also throw in Leonard Davis and TO

but for underated I wouldn't have put in Newman, seems like when the Eagles played them he wasn't too good. I would have put the cowboys third string WR Crayton

They are right on with Denver. Warren IS pverrated and Ben Hamilton is very much underrated.

I agree 100% with the underrated for the 49ers. Brandon Moore was the best 49er defender the 2nd half of last year. He's hardly noticed on a national scale, where they'll routinely mention Lawson, who Moore outperformed for the most part.

As for the most overrated 49er, Darrell Jackson? I guess the writer's expectation level of Jackson is different than mine for the upcoming year.

Overrated for the Chargers should have been Quentin Jammer. He's been a total bust at corner given his draft spot.

I can't believe Vince Young is listed as overrated. I agree he's not the best passer, but with the list of receivers he had last year ... it's no wonder.

I don't think Jammer is allowed to be called overrated anymore. Now he just plain out sucks...

I do think Vince Young is a tad bit overrated. Some people down here think that he is a top 5 QB. NO. 12 TDs, 13 INTs. Got lucky on a play with the Giants, and had the kicker kick an incredible field goal against (the Colts?)

If he can improve his passing, I will admit he is close to top 5.

San Francisco 49ers
Overrated

WR Darrell Jackson. If they think he's going to cure their receiver problems, they are wrong. He's not better than Antonio Bryant, the guy they let go. Jackson drops a lot of passes.

I've been saying that for the last year +

Seattle Seahawks
Overrated

WR Deion Branch. He's a nice player, but he wasn't worth what the Seahawks traded and paid to get him. Is he really a No. 1 receiver?

I'm not ready to make that statement. I'll give him another year before blasting occurs. They missed the true overrated player....I won't say it but y'all already know!

Underrated

WR D.J. Hackett. He got a chance to play last season because of injuries, starting five games, and showed some nice skills. He caught 45 passes and had four touchdown catches, the same as Branch, who started 13 games.

Damn straight.:salut:

Be nice now, Chris :D ;) O'line stays healthy, and he stays healthy, we'll see.

You already know I think D. J. Hackett is awesome anyway :D:D:D

That was nice for me I thought...

I pray everynight for the Seahawks and in my prayers, I ask that I hear Sweet Home Alabama at least 20 times this year.

i went straight to the rams section to see Bulger in the underrated section but oh well.

I agree Bulger is underrated, but I can also agree with Fakhir Brown. When he played for New Orleans he was consistently one of our most solid corners and no one even knew who he was. Haven't watched him as much in St. Louis though.

I didn't see who wrote it, but after seeing a few sentences I knew it was that clownshoe Prisco.

But for the Pats, he is right on. Except Bruschi used to be underrated like hell, but now he is just too old to be the star he once was. And Ty Warren not only is the most underrated Patriot, I can't think of a more underrated player in football. The game the Pats lost to the Jets, we got run all over; it was the one game Warren was out. He flat out dominated last year.

I enjoyed the DJack part, not a bad call on the Hackett piece. I agree with Chris on the overrated ;)

Brown was a pleasant surprise last season. I didn't expect him to play nearly that well.

But Bulger is still the most underrated on the team. He's starting to get some recognition after his great year in '06, but he's one of the most underrated players in the league.

I think the Packers are right on. Bubba has been garbage since singing his big contract. And Jenkins helped turn that defense around when he replaced KGB who can't play the run for squat. KGB would be the most overrated if he still played full-time DE.

A potential underrated would be Al Harris. One of the top shut-down CB's in the league.

I completely agree with ARE being paid to much. However, he is a SOLID #2. :salut: I thought Marcus Washington would get the underrated nod, but giving it to Golston is a complete surprise and extremely well deserved. The man is a beast.

excellent read, nevermind some of those guys arent on those teams anymore its still true hence they are no longer employed by them so way to go GM's.

And totally spot on in N.O., though I thought they'd say Reggie just because hes in his 2nd year and yes, many people talk of him like he should be in canton already , but man there was a long line of under rated guys available.

The entire O-line comes to mind, Fujita, I'd say Josh bullocks if he could actually catch a ball, or dare I say Devery Henderson though everyone only hears of him after making huge plays or getting demolished while going up for a ball... so kinda iffy, but I'll take Evans just as much of a steal as Colston!

I disagree with the Over Rated in the Raiders I mean Rhodes is a good choice there but my man Lamont jordan and his amazing 3 yards a carry with that fat contract diserve all of the Over rated praise in the league. HE IS A BUM!

Eh, I'll still take DJ over Antonio Bryant. There just weren't too many other players to pick from I guess.
